I am deep diving into Elixir (and a little bit of Erlang), setting up pangratz.dev using Phoenix. Additionally I am reading Functional Web Development with Elixir, OTP and Phoenix and various Elixir blog posts. So far I’m enjoying backend programming after a long time of doing solely frontend development. It’s a welcoming challenge.

I’m looking forward to the different mindsets and am curious to find out how the frontend with it’s states in the UI compares to having state on the backend as well with GenServer et al.

At the moment I am reading Building a Second Brain by Tiago Forte and I am halfway through. Very much enjoying the book so far, it’s a great resource on getting structure to my external brain.
